In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Clean Slate.”
Explore the room you’re in as if you’re seeing it for the first time. Pretend you know nothing. What do you see? Who is the person who lives there?
if i knew nothing i couldn’t write this post…. 🙂 that aside- the person who lives in this room has hardly anytime for cleaning, they must be living their life too fast at times. the person living in this room wants to gulp life down by the gallon but sometimes gets caught up in periphery things, things that shout from the sidelines and distract.
there are stacks of books, some opened, others not. boxes of odds and ends waiting to be let out and explored. there are scatterings of life everywhere. stories stopped mid-word and left to lie, until tomorrow.
there is a love for wanting to be a part of things in this room, a gift for a friend, a phone. there is hope in this room, a Bible on the top shelf and half finished scarves waiting to be claimed by the people who need them. there is artistry and chaos.
the person who lives here is not done growing. there is accomplishment and goals unmet, goals still to be made. the person who lives here is searching, is looking and is finding.
