In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “From You to You.”

Write a letter to ur 14 year old self.

Dear me,

You are powerful and you are in need of the connections to other people.

You are always going to be learning something so make each day at school worth it. Make school work for you and if you don’t get what you need from them educate yourself.

Read, read, read. It opens up your mind and makes you well rounded. The books can teach you a lot.

Go practice piano ….one more time. Play that game with ur brother and sister one more time. Enjoy holding ur dad’s hand one more time.

Talk to that stranger in ur grade. Smile like it’ll be ur last smile.

Get in trouble a little more. Go out with friends a little more. Skip a day is school and live like an explorer.

Read ur Bible more. I think this is the most important thing. Get in the habit of prayfully studying God’s word now so it’ll be automatic when you’re older.

Love,

Ur present self
